Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine Bowl For Kids Sake T-Shirt Contest Winner Announced

Shawna Carver, a sophomore at Woodland Jr./Sr. High School loves to draw and be creative. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine announced its first annual T-shirt contest in September 2008 and Shawna submitted an entry. Now $100 richer Shawna can’t wait to see her design on this year’s Bowl for Kids Sake t-shirts.

Applicants were asked to create a design that can be used for the 2009 Bowl for Kids Sake T-shirt.

Bowl for Kids Sake is held each year to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Maine. Over 500 t-shirts are given out in Bangor, Ellsworth and Machias annually.

The 2009 Bowl for Kids' Sake celebration will be held all day Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29, at Family Fun Bowling Lanes in Bangor and Ellsworth Bowling Center in Ellsworth, and from 10-3 Saturday, April 4, at Eagle Lanes in Machias.

Please join us in raising money to benefit local children and get a t-shirt with Shawna’s “winning” design. You might also be the lucky winner of a Nintendo Wii or an I-pod.
