Looking for a community
event that’s really fun? How about a little peace, love,
and rock ‘n bowl? How about joining with friends, family,
and colleagues to raise money for local children in Bowl
for Kids’ Sake 2003!
Bowl for Kids’ Sake is a bowl-a-thon and annual fundraiser
for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Hancock & Washington
Counties. Teams are currently being recruited to
participate in either the March 22 or March 23 event at
Eastward Lanes in Ellsworth. Register your team by Friday,
February 28 and you’ll be eligible to win a $250 Bangor
Mall gift certificate!
You don’t need to be a bowler to Bowl for Kids’ Sake, and
it’s easy to participate. Just join with a few friends or
colleagues to form a 4- to 5-person bowling team. Ask
other friends to sponsor your bowling and collect their
donations. Then come out and bowl at the event on
Saturday, March 22 or Sunday, March 23 at Eastward Bowling
Lanes in Ellsworth!
Every cent that you raise will help match more local kids
with caring mentors, as well as score some great prizes
including Big Brothers Big Sisters t-shirts, caps and
totes. Bowlers who individually raise $225 or more will be
eligible for a raffle of Grand Prizes including an
assortment of travel, dining and recreation packages!!
